A traditional school of karate, maintaining and integrating the fundamentals of respect and etiquette, with good basics, kata and kumite. We also openly encourage our students to cross train with other styles, clubs and people to help support their Karate and encourage friendship and co-operation within the Martial Arts. We are part of the Heian Ryu Karate Group and we also work closely with Hanshi Terry Wingrove at Cyberbudo to promote Karate Jutsu.

The 17th of February saw another successful grading at the club with all those who graded making the grade. Congratulations go to Aaron, Alex, Ella, Fabian & Kamil who got their 8th Kyu, Matt & James 7th Kyu, Jon , Steve, Summer and Gleb their 6th Kyu and Matthew, Mark, Morgan & Tabatha who are now 5th kyu. very well done to you all.
On the weekend of 12th & 13th March we hosted another successful seminar with Hanshi Terry Wingrove and Sensei Alan Ruddock in association with Springwood Karate from Kings Lynn. Itwas another great weekend seeing friends both old and new and enhancing our understanding of Karate Jutsu and Aikido.
Our congratulations to Hanshi Wingrove who has been elivated to 9th Dan Karate and issued with Shihan Liscence by the authorities in Japan. He will be travelling to Tokyo as soon as conditions allow to receive his award from 93-year-old Master Hiroshi Kinjo, the most senior Karate teacher in Japan. |
